Mercury-Little-Joe 6


Mercury-Little-Joe 6 (LJ-6) was an unmanned test flight within NASA’s Mercury program. The flight served to test the rescue rocket, which was located on the non-functional model of the Mercury capsule (Mercury Boilerplate).

The launch was on October 4, 1959 from the launch pad at Wallops Island, Virginia with a Little Joe rocket.
